Owners of several popular makes now have another route to genuine replacement parts. Stellantis has launched official branded stores on eBay UK for Fiat, Jeep, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Vauxhall and Peugeot.
What has changed?
The new stores list manufacturer parts and accessories for current and older models. Stellantis says the first six brands are live, with more stores planned for Leapmotor, Citroën, DS Automobiles and Distrigo. The launch does not mean every part for every model is available today; Vauxhall's range, for example, is still being expanded.
For used-car owners, an official store can make it easier to identify a genuine part and its seller. That is useful for commonly replaced items, but the badge on a listing is no substitute for checking the exact fitment.
Before you place an order
Match the part number against your car's VIN, engine and registration year. Similar models can use different components after a mid-year change. If the fitment information is unclear, ask the seller or a garage before paying.
Compare the full cost, including delivery and returns, with a local parts counter or garage. Ask who will fit the part and whether supplying it yourself affects the garage's workmanship warranty. Keep the invoice and the original packaging until the repair is complete.
What this means for buyers
Parts availability is one factor in the cost of running a used car, but it is not a reason to skip the usual checks. Look at the vehicle's service history, common maintenance jobs and any outstanding repairs before buying. The official stores are a practical extra source for parts once you know exactly what the car needs.
